PARIS, April 9 (Xinhua) -- France's main flag carrier, Air France, said Monday that 75 percent of its scheduled flights would be operational on April 10, when a strike over pay is due to take place.
More than a third of pilots, 20.2 percent of cabin crew, and 13 percent of ground staff will participate in the strike action on Tuesday, the sixth to occur in past month and a half.
Consequently, 35 percent of the flag carrier's long-haul flights have been cancelled while a third of medium-haul flights to and from Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport have been suspended.
Twenty percent of short-haul flights have been cancelled to and from Paris's Orly airport and French regions.
Unions representing airline staff have planned further worker stoppages on April 11 over a continued dispute with the carrier's management over a request to raise pay by six percent.
