PRAGUE, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- At least two people died and dozens were injured in a fire at a Prague city center hotel on Saturday, spokesman for the Prague firefighters Martin Kavka said.
The spokesman said on social media that some of the injured were in serious condition, and two firefighters were also among the injured. He said a special degree of fire alert has been declared.
The fire occurred at the Eurostars David hotel in the Naplavni Street in Prague New Town district.
The rescue service sent several ambulances along with doctors to the scene and firefighting is underway.
As the firefighters are still searching through the building, the number of the victims may not be final.
