WINDHOEK, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Namibia Rugby Ltd appointed Thursday Mervin Green as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for early preparations for 2019 World Cup.
"I am sure that we have made the right choice in appointing him because his previous working success in other countries can testify to that," said Bradley Basson, President of Namibia Rugby Union.
After his professional rugby playing careers from 1980-1988, Green became the Vice-Chairman of South Africa Rugby Schools Association (SARU) in 1997.
Green regularly represents SARU and Rugby Africa at World Rugby General Council meetings and conferences.
Namibia Rugby Ltd is a a newly registered entity and will work closely with the Namibia Rugby Union.
