DOHA, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education on Wednesday took part in the STEM Conference 2018 held in Newcastle, UK, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

The conference came in line with Qatar's preparations for the opening of a scientific school based on the integrated curriculum for science, engineering, technology and mathematics, popularly known as the STEM, QNA reported.

''The conference provides excellent opportunities for exchanging experiences with international institutions and experts in various fields, which will contribute to the development of the educational process and realize the national vision in building the knowledge economy,'' a senior Qatari official said.

The STEM conference will discuss teaching leadership through the development of education, and the creative educational methods.
