FRANKFURT, March 6 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 23.00 points, or 0.19 percent, to close at 12,113.87 points.
Energy group RWE gained the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.55 percent. German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and automotive manufacturer Volkswagen rose by 2.27 percent and 1.68 percent respectively.
European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 lost the most among the blue chips, falling 6.13 percent. Housing association Vonovia and sportswear and equipment maker Adidas went down by 2.44 percent and 1.28 percent respectively.
German multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer was the most-traded share of the day with a turnover of 316.05 million euros (392.24 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
