GUIYANG, April 11 (Xinhua) -- A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has inspected poverty relief work in southwest China's Guizhou Province and called on cadres to do more work.
Chen Xi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the CPC Central Committee Organization Department, visited villages, poor families, a factory, school, and hospital in Taijiang County during his three-day visit which ended Wednesday.
Talking to local officials, Chen urged them to implement the policies of the central authorities, do more work, maintain good conduct, and lead the local families to overcome poverty.
