TORONTO, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Canada's main stock index edged up Thursday.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index edged up 11.37 points, or 0.07 percent, to close the day at 15,269.27.
Seven of the index's 10 main industry groups ended higher.
The Canadian dollar fell 0.2 cent to 0.79.32 U.S. dollar.
The largest percentage gainer was Shaw Communications, gaining 10 percent to 26.38 Canadian dollars while the biggest percentage loser was Pretium Resources, falling 9 percent to 9.45 Canadian dollars.
