RECIFE, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Rodrigo Lindoso scored in second-half stoppage time as Botafogo earned a 1-1 draw with Sport Recife in Brazil's Serie A championship on Monday.
The game looked headed for a goalless stalemate before Everton Felipe unleashed a 30-yard shot that curled into the bottom corner in the 86th minute.
Lindoso equalized for the visitors just seconds before the final whistle when he arrowed a shot past the outstretched hands of Mailson after a Mateus Fernandez cross.
The result at the Ilha do Retiro stadium left Botafogo 14th in the 20-team standings with two draws from their first two matches. Sport are 17th with a draw and a loss.
Reigning champions Corinthians lead the standings as the only team to have won their opening two fixtures.
