LONDON, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.43 percent, or 32.67 points, to close at 7,591.26 points.
Evraz,a multinational vertically integrated steel making and mining company, soared 2.81 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Melrose industries and Paddy power betfair increased by 2.58 percent and 2.23 percent, respectively.
Sage group, a British multinational enterprise software company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 7.00 percent.
