TEHRAN, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale jolted Iran's Tazeh Abad region in western Kermanshah province early Sunday, Iranian Seismological Center reported.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 8 km, 34.631 degrees north latitude and 46.220 degrees east longitude.
People in Tazeh Abad towns and villages rushed to the streets in panic following the quake, state media reported.
