BUENOS AIRES, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Rosario Central struck either side of halftime as they maintained their lead at the top of the Superliga Argentina standings with a 2-0 victory over San Martin de Tucuman on Sunday.
Uruguayan midfielder Washington Camacho put the hosts ahead with a long-range effort just after the half-hour mark and Fernando Zampredi doubled the lead by firing in after Alfonso Parot's pass.
It was Rosario Central's third win from as many matches and they hold a two-point lead over second-placed Racing Club, who won 3-0 at Patronato on Friday.
In Sunday's other fixtures, Banfield drew 1-1 at Velez Sarsfield, Alosivil won 1-0 at Lanus, and Boca Juniors could only manage a 0-0 draw at Huracan.
The third round of the season will conclude on Sunday when Godoy Cruz host Newell's Old Boys and San Lorenzo travel to Union Santa Fe.
