BERLIN, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Australia's Brook Stratton won the women's long jump with 6.71 meters at the 77th edition of the International Stadium Festival (ISTAF) in Berlin's Olympic Stadium on Sunday.
Stratton capitalized on her last attempt to secure the first place.
"I am very happy about my competition and I am very happy about my performance. The support from the crowd was incredible. As an athlete it always lifts you up having such an incredible crowd. In Australia we do not often have so many people coming to an athletics competition," Stratton said.
Belarus' Natassia Mironchyk-Ivanova jumped to the second place with 6.65m and European Champions Malaika Mihambo from Germany finished third with 6.63m.
The ISTAF in Berlin's Olympic Stadium is the biggest athletics meeting in the world and attracts annually 50.000 spectators as approximately 180 athletes from 40 countries and regions compete in 15 disciplines. Enditem
