NEW DELHI, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- At least 12 people died in India's northern hilly state of Uttarakhand on Monday when a vehicle fell into a river, local media reported.
According to the reports, the vehicle fell from a height of around 100 meters. There were around 15 people onboard the ill-fated vehicle when the mishap occurred.
Three injured people were admitted to a nearby hospital.
Local government officials rushed to the spot to supervise the rescue and relief work.
