SYDNEY, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Police in the Australian State of Queensland have seized over 1 million U.S. dollars worth of local currency, along with drugs, from a home in an inner suburb of state capital, Brisbane.
A video released by police on Tuesday showed officers entering the home discovered a large travel suitcase filled with cash as well as more currency which is strewn around a laundry.
Police also seized over 40 kg of cannabis, 2 kg of MDMA and 300 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of almost 350,000 U.S. dollars.
A 28-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman will face court on Tuesday for a number of charges including multiple counts of possessing dangerous drugs.
Another man, 27, and woman, 32, will face court later in the month on similar charges.
The raids were conducted by Taskforce Maxima, a squad established to target organized crime in the state.
