JAKARTA, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Tickets for next month's Asian Para Games in Jakarta went on sale on Thursday, officials revealed.
The organizing committee said a total of 20,000 tickets for the Games would be allocated to those with disabilities, with 2,000 tickets freely distributed to fans with disabilities.
Ticket prices range from 500,000 rupiah (34 U.S. dollars) to 2.5 million rupiah (168 U.S. dollars), authorities said.
The opening ceremony of the event is scheduled to be held on October 6 at Gelora Bung Karno stadium in the country's capital Jakarta.
Performers at the opening ceremony will include 1,000 dancers from senior high schools and 40 dancers with disabilities, with several famous artists also set to feature.
As many as 2,800 athletes from 41 countries and regions are set to take part in the 2018 Asian Para Games which will be held from October 6 to 13.
The athletes will compete in 18 sports, including badminton, basketball, table tennis, swimming, chess, cycling and fencing.
The Asian Para Games was first held in the Chinese city of Guangzhou in 2010, before being held in Incheon, South Korea in 2014.
