HANOI, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Some 1,500 athletes, including 280 foreigners from 26 embassies in Vietnam will compete at a running tournament in the capital city of Hanoi on Sunday.
The tournament named Ha Noi Moi (New Hanoi) is expected to see the participation of many professional runners, including Ngo Thi Oanh, 2018 Asian Games bronze medalist, its organizers said on Wednesday.
In the professional category, men are to run five laps, or nearly 8.8km, around iconic Sword Lake, and women three laps, or nearly 5.3km. In the amateur category, runners will compete in different distances, ranging from nearly 1.7km to nearly 5.3km.
