DUBAI, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Mexico have exchanged a diplomatic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on visa exemption, UAE state news agency WAM reported on Thursday.
According to the MoU signed by the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, citizens with regular passports of both countries will be allowed visa-free entries.
Ahmed Hatem Al Menhali, UAE ambassador to Mexico, praised the "historic occasion" and described it as the crowning of their intense bilateral efforts.
Passport rankings showed that the UAE passport is the most powerful Arab travel document in relation to visa free travel opportunities for its citizens across the world.
