VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- A fire at an oil field in Russia's Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District which broke out Tuesday was localized on Wednesday morning, said the Emergency Ministry of the republic.
The fire at the Khokhryakovskoe oil field initially engulfed an area of about 1,000 square meters. At 4:34 a.m. local time (1834 GMT Tuesday), it was contained within an area of 400 square meters.
Three people were injured in the incident. Two of them were badly hurt but are in stable condition.
Preliminary data showed that the fire was caused by the depressurization of one of the tanks.
