LONDON, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.29 percent, or 20.54 points, to close at 7,094.12 points.
Smurfit Kappa Group, a packaging company, soared 4.05 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Standard Chartered and Informa increased by 3.95 percent and 3.34 percent, respectively.
Imperial Brands, a consumer goods company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.66 percent.
Glencore, a multinational commodity trading and mining company, dropped 2.53 percent. British American Tobacco, a British multinational cigarette and tobacco manufacturing company, fell 2.19 percent. Enditem
