TOKYO, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe departed Japan Wednesday to attend a series of regional meetings and hold talks with world leaders.
Abe will arrive in Singapore later Wednesday to attend the ASEAN-China, Japan and South Korea leaders' meeting and the East Asia summit.
In Darwin, Australia, on Friday, Abe is scheduled to hold his first summit with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
On Saturday, Abe will travel to Papua New Guinea to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders' meeting.
