BEIRUT, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- The Indian Ambassador to Lebanon Sanjiv Arora said Monday that India aims to expand its businesses and companies to Lebanon, local media reported.
"We aim at creating partnerships between Lebanese and Indian companies in a bid to boost further our economic bilateral ties," the ambassador was quoted as saying by the National News Agency.
His remarks came during a ceremony held at the Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture, and Industry in Beirut in the presence of its president Mohamad Choucair.
The ceremony was organized on the occasion of a partnership agreement signed between Lebanese and Indian companies to boost their cooperation in maritime transport.
"This occasion reflects the great confidence that the international community has placed in the Lebanese private sector," said Choucair.
