KABUL, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- An assailant was killed and 11 people were wounded after a massive suicide car bomb blast struck outside a security forces' training center in the eastern side of Kabul on Wednesday, police said.
"The car bomb explosion occurred outside a training camp named G4S in Pul-e-Charkhi area, Police District 9 roughly at 6:30 p.m. The attacker was killed after he detonated the car bomb and 11 people mostly civilians were wounded," Basir Mujahid, a Kabul police spokesman, told Xinhua.
The facility, which provides training for Afghan forces by foreign trainers, and several nearby houses were damaged.
Further details about the incident are still forthcoming amid the absence of any official statement.
Taliban militant group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
The capital city has been hit by series of terror attacks over the past couple of years.
