The ceremony is held for the start of construction and contract signing of the first batch of projects in the Hainan Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ), in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province, Nov. 28, 2018. Hainan on Wednesday witnessed 100 projects beginning to be built, with a total investment of 29.8 billion RMB yuan (4.29 billion U.S. dollars), and the contract signing of 41 projects, with an investment of 34.2 billion yuan (4.92 billion dollars). Since the first pilot FTZ set up in Shanghai in 2013, China has set up a total of 12 FTZs, with the latest addition being the island province of Hainan, the country's largest FTZ. (Xinhua/Guo Cheng)
