COLOMBO, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and 19 others were injured when a luxury passenger bus toppled into a canal in Nattandiya, in north western Sri Lanka on Thursday evening, police said.
The bus was on its way to Jaffna, in the north, from capital Colombo when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it toppled into the canal.
Those injured were rushed to nearby hospitals by residents in the area and the police.
Police are conducting further investigations.
