TUNIS, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian road accidents reached 5,944 in 2018 with a decrease of 16.27 percent compared with previous year, according to the National Observatory for Road Safety (ONSR) on Monday.
The ONSR revealed that the number of deaths resulting from road accidents dropped from 1,388 to 1,219, dropping by 12.8 percent compared with 2017.
These accidents are mainly caused by the lack of vigilance, speeding and other reasons. The ONSR also confirmed 3,883 road accidents are cars accidents.
