CARACAS, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Venezuela "clearly, passionately" follows the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN) 2030 agenda, President Nicolas Maduro said Saturday.
All these issues can be found outlined in the government plan for his next six-year term in 2019-2025, which he will present on Monday before the Constituent National Assembly, Maduro said when meeting with UN representatives at the Miraflores Palace in Caracas.
The 17 SDGs include no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy.
Venezuela suffered greatly from plummeting oil prices in 2014 and Maduro's new government will face a number of economic challenges.
