BELGRADE, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Buducnost played an amazing match on Friday in the capital of Montenegro, beating Real Madrid in the Round 19 of the regular season of the Euroleague 73-60 (19-15, 17-13, 20-20, 17-12).
At the Moraca hall in front of some 5,300 fans, Buducnost's Norris Cole scored a three-pointer and started a 7-0 run of the home team.
Towards the middle of the quarter, the Spanish team managed to narrow the gap, but Cole, who score nine points in the first quarter, once again shined with two consecutive field goals.
Buducnost kept the momentum in the second quarter and enjoyed a 36-28 lead at halftime.
Cole set the pace with a three-pointer at the start of the second half, followed by another one by Earl Clark for 42-28, creating a record lead for Buducnost.
Buducnost entered the fourth quarter with an 8-point lead and expanded it to 13 points in the end.
Cole was best in the ranks of the Montenegrin team with 14 points and seven assists, while Bitadze added another 13 points. Sergio Llull of Real Madrid was above the average of his team and scored 10 points.
This is the fifth victory for Buducnost in the tournament, and the fourth defeat for Real Madrid.
Real plays the next game at home against Anadolu Efes, while Buducnost awaits Gran Canaria.
