MINSK, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Russian figure skater Sofia Samodurova won the gold medal at the European Championships on Friday evening in Minsk, capital of Belarus.

The Russian sportswoman scored 140.96 in the free skate for a total of 213.84.

Teammate Alina Zagitova, the Olympic champion in PyeongChang, won the silver, scoring a total of 198.34.

Third place went to Finland's Vivek Lindfors, who scored 194.40.
