MINSK, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Spaniard Javier Fernandez won the figure skating gold at the European Championships here on Saturday.

Fernandez scored 271.59 in total to clinch his seventh title in the European Championships' history.

Russian Alexander Samarin won the silver with 269.84 and the bronze went to Italian Matteo Rizzo who scored 247.08.
