BRUSSELS, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Thousands of young students across Belgium skipped school for the 5th Thursday in a row to participate in the "Climate Thursday" protest march, local Belgian press reported.
Around 15,000 students took to the streets in total, slightly fewer than in previous marches.
The biggest demonstration was held in Leuven, where over 10,000 students participated, but smaller marches were also held in Antwerp, Kortrijk and Hasselt.
In Brussels, around 5,000 high school and university students marched from Brussels' North Station down to Midi Station in the south, according to a report by the local police in Ixelles.
