JERUSALEM, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) governmental company unveiled Monday an advanced system for military land platforms against GPS jamming.
The new system "ADA-O", an additional development in the "ADA" anti-jamming system lineup, provides a solution for communication systems, command and control, and navigation, and can be installed on armored vehicles, artillery, and communication carriers.
The system also provides a solution for a wide range of satellite navigation systems, has advanced architecture and implements a variety of advanced digital signal processing methods.
The versatility of the ADA system allows it to be integrated into a variety of platforms, including combat aircraft and helicopters, unmanned aircrafts, land platforms and armored vehicles, marine platforms, and guiding munition.
The IAI recently won a contract to supply an ADA system to an unknown Asian country, worth tens of millions of U.S. dollars.
Earlier, at the beginning of 2017, IAI won a tender by the Israeli Ministry of Defense for its integration into one of the major air force platforms.
The integration of the system enables the continuation of the operation of the avionics systems based on satellite navigation, even in cases where blocking or interference attempts are made by activating GPS jammers or blocking other satellite navigation systems.
