KUNMING, March 13 (Xinhua) -- A nationwide exhibition on Napoleon Bonaparte made its debut Tuesday in southwest China's Yunnan Province.
More than 150 items showcased include those used by Napoleon Bonaparte during his lifetime, clothing and items in daily use from his era, as well as oil paintings, sculptures and woodcuts of famous artists.
The exhibition shows the ups and downs of Napoleon's life.
"Such an exhibition on French art and culture will help enhance communications and friendship between the two peoples," said Ma Wendou, curator of the Yunnan Provincial Museum.
The first stop of the exhibition tour in the provincial capital of Kunming will last till June 9. The exhibition is scheduled to move to other parts of the country, including Guizhou, Shanxi, Henan and Shenzhen.
