SARAJEVO, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Two mine workers were found dead in a mine on Friday evening in Srebrenica, 130 kilometers northeast of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Rescuers digged for more than 10 hours before the bodies of two miners were retrieved from the jam pit in the Boxit ore mine, Miljan Bobar, the local police spokesperson, confirmed to local media.
The accident happened around 10 a.m. local time when more than 50 cubic meters of material from the roof of the preparatory corridor crashed on the two miners, aged 44 and 30 respectively, Bobar added.
Inspectors are investigating the accident.
