KIEV, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine has set up a total of 101 polling stations abroad for the presidential election scheduled for March 31, the data from the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) showed on Monday.
A total of 420,342 ballot papers have been handed over to the polling stations outside Ukraine, said a statement on the CEC website.
Ukraine, which has about 29.8 million eligible voters, has printed more than 30.4 million ballot papers for the presidential election.
When the election begins, Ukrainian voters will cast their ballots at some 29,800 polling stations in 199 electoral districts across the country.
According to various opinion polls, incumbent President Petro Poroshenko, opposition politician Yulia Tymoshenko and actor Volodymyr Zelensky were viewed as frontrunners among a total of 39 candidates participating in the presidential race.
