KIEV, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian actor Volodymyr Zelensky, opposition politician Yulia Tymoshenko and incumbent President Petro Poroshenko remain frontrunners in the country's presidential election scheduled for Sunday, an opinion poll showed Monday.
The survey jointly conducted by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology, the sociological group "Rating" and Razumkov Center found that Zelensky currently enjoys 27.7 percent of the voter support.
According to the survey, 16.6 percent of the respondents said they would vote for Tymoshenko, while the approval rating of Poroshenko stands at 16.4 percent.
The remaining candidates each garnered less than 10 percent of the support, the poll revealed.
The nationwide survey was carried out on March 5-14 among 15,000 adults and its margin of error was plus or minus 0.8 percent.
The presidential election in Ukraine is scheduled for March 31 with the participation of 39 candidates. To win the race in the first round, a candidate should earn more than 50 percent of the votes.
