DHAKA, April 11 (Xinhua) -- The 18th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for foreign secondary school students was held Thursday in Bangladesh capital Dhaka.
Dhaka University Confucius Institute in association with North South University Confucius Institute, Bangladeshi CRI-SMF Confucius Classroom and Chinese firms Linkus Network Technology Bangladesh Limited and Panda Shoes Industry Limited organized the competition under the sponsorship of the Chinese embassy in Dhaka.
The competition featured diverse performances including speeches, dancing, martial arts and contemporary music.
Dozens of students applied to attend the competition titled "One World, One Family" from a number of leading Bangladeshi institutions.
Winners of the contest were given certificates and prizes.
