QINGDAO, May 24 (Xinhua) -- The first Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) International Trade and Investment Fair opened Friday in the port city of Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province.
The three-day fair has attracted more than 400 companies and other institutions, including over 150 from overseas. The fair exhibits the cultural industries, tourism, home appliances and other products of SCO member states.
The first SCO Qingdao Forum on Local Economic and Trade Cooperation was also held in Qingdao on the same day, themed "Consultation, Cooperation and Benefit for All -- Building a Model for SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation."
"The trade volume between Qingdao and the SCO member states reached 5.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2018," said Meng Fanli, mayor of Qingdao.
