BUENOS AIRES, June 14 (Xinhua) -- Boca Juniors goalkeeper Esteban Andrada has been cut from Argentina's Copa America squad because of a knee injury, the player's agent said on Friday.
Andrada suffered inflammation of his right knee after clashing with teammate Guido Rodriguez during a practice session at the team's training base in the northeastern Brazilian city of Salvador on Thursday.
"The best thing for Esteban is to return to Buenos Aires and recover at his club," Andrada's representative, Luciano Nicotra, told local television.
The Argentine Football Association said it would seek permission from the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) to add Udinese keeper Juan Musso to the Albiceleste squad.
Argentina will begin their Copa America campaign against Colombia at Salvador's Arena Fonte Nova on Saturday before also meeting Paraguay and Qatar in Group B.
