KHARTOUM, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Sudan's Transitional Military Council (TMC) on Tuesday reiterated readiness to form a government of competencies representing all components of the Sudanese people.
"We are ready to form a government of competencies as soon as possible representing all components of the community," said the TMC Deputy Chairman Mohamed Hamdan Daqlu, when addressing native administration leaders in Khartoum.
He stressed that the TMC is unwilling in power, saying that "the task of the army, the rapid support forces and the national intelligence and security service is confined to keeping security and stability."
The TMC is tasked with running the country's affairs after the ousting of former president Omar al-Bashir.
