NANJING, June 28 (Xinhua) -- A new direct air route was launched Thursday to link the cities of Yangzhou and Taizhou in eastern China's Jiangsu Province and Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia.
The flight, operated by Malaysia Airlines with a Boeing 737 aircraft, is scheduled to fly three times every two weeks. It will depart from the Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport at 11:45 p.m. every Wednesday and Sunday on the first week and Friday on the second week.
The return flight will take off at 5:20 p.m. local time.
Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport, an airport jointly built by the cities of Yangzhou and Taizhou, said the new flight will promote the folk and cultural exchanges between the two Chinese cities and Malaysia.
