RIO DE JANEIRO, July 3 (Xinhua) -- An additional 1,700 tickets have been put on sale for Sunday's Copa America final, organizers said on Wednesday.

The latest batch of tickets were released on the official Copa America website on a first-come, first-served basis late on Wednesday.

Seats were made available in all categories, with the cheapest going for 260 reais (68 US dollars) and the most expensive for 890 reais.

The new batch of tickets corresponds to reservations for which payment was not made. Officials said another round of tickets could be released on Saturday.

Brazil will play the final at Rio's Maracana stadium against Peru who beat defending champions Chile 3-0 in Wednesday's semifinals of the continental tournament.
