OTTAWA, July 4 (Xinhua) -- A 5.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Pacific Ocean off Canada's Vancouver Island Wednesday night, according to Earthquakes Canada Thursday.
There is no tsunami warning issued.
The quake struck at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday local time around 204 km west of Bella Bella in the Canadian province of British Columbia.
Earthquakes Canada said the quake was felt on northern Vancouver Island, adjacent to the mainland.
